Groups

Brothers-in-Faith

The Antigo United Methodist Church Men’s Group, “Brothers in Faith”, is a faith based group of men that meets on a monthly basis during non summer months. The group not only is involved with providing assistance to individuals or community groups in need but is a social group that enjoys fun activities including group dinners, campfire discussions and other/indoor/outdoor adventures. Contact the church office if you are not currently involved and would like to be.

Children's Sunday School

Children ages 3 years – 5th grade meet on Sunday morning at 10:00. The children begin worship with the adults, and following a special time for children during worship, they are invited to go to their Sunday School Classes.

Choir

The UMC choir is composed of those who share their singing talents. We are a relatively small group of nonprofessionals who practice on Wednesday evenings for approximately an hour. We generally sing three Sundays a month. The choir director, Laurel Monson, plans music for Sunday worship well in advance so choir members that are unable to attend rehearsals on Wednesday can practice the music at their leisure. New choir members are always welcome.

Community Garden

The Antigo Community Garden, started in 2009 as a community outreach project, is located behind our church and is run by a “Garden Team” comprised of our church members. The garden has 80 plots and provides gardening opportunities for anyone living in our county. Each year over 2 tons of vegetables are grown. Surplus vegetables are donated to the Antigo Community Food Pantry. If you are interested in more information, contact Barb McIlquham, Garden Coordinator.

Faith After Five

Faith After Five is a Women’s Ministry at Antigo United Methodist Church. Our purpose is to love, support and pray for one another in the ups and downs of life, to remind each other that we are weak and God is strong, and to remind ourselves and others that we are all humble servants ready and waiting for God’s tender whisper. All women are welcome to join us! We meet once a month during the months of September through May.
